Pashtana Durrani is a remarkable figure and a powerful voice in the space of women's education in Afghanistan. In this episode, Pashtana delves into her inspiring journey from the refugee camps of Quetta to the prestigious halls of Harvard. She passionately discusses her organisation, Learn Afghanistan, its vital role in providing education to Afghan girls, and its vision for the future. Pashtana shares insights from her recent book, 'Last to Eat, Last to Learn', and sheds light on the current situation of girls and women in Afghanistan, including her experiences from her recent trips to Kandahar and Helmand. Also, don't miss our rapid-fire round, where Pashtana answers a series of quick questions, offering a unique and personal glimpse into her thoughts and personality. Learn Afghanistan operates within Afghanistan's challenging landscape, striving to bring education to girls who might otherwise miss out. The organisation has already celebrated the graduation of numerous girls, a beacon of hope in a situation often seen as bleak.
